This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

Carol Deavy and Glen Budgell were fastest in 20:33!

The closing Invitational Time Trial of the WTT series is always a lot of fun, and tonight was no exception. There were 10 solo riders, one tandem pair and 16 multi-person teams. Six of the ten solo riders posted season-series bests, with Mary Ajersh ("The Olde Gray Mare") being the most improved with an 11.52% increase in her cube speed. Her 25:12 is an all time best for the Veteran E (70-80 years old) women, 40 seconds off of the previous record of 25:52 which she set in last year's WTT Invitational! Also improved by more than 10% were Micheline Patrice (30:18) with a one minute speed up over her database best and Barbara Wilson (28:20) with a 56 second improvement. Concerning the multi-person teams, fastest overall was the "Straight and Aero" team of Glen Budgell and Carol Deavy (20:33), one minute and 16 seconds faster than they did two years ago (a 19.66% improvement in their cube speed). Second place was the "Haute Couture" team of Sylvie Couture and Joel Katz (22:21) with a one minute and 24 second improvement from the 2009 WTT Invitational (a 19.99% cube speed improvement). Third place was the "Il Lampo & Pokey" team of Neil Farish and Dianne Marleau (22:32) at 27 seconds slower than their best of 22:05 two years ago (94.13% of their previous best cube speed). Overall, of the twenty-two "teams" (of one or more) who we have previous times for, seven improved upon their previous database best. Great riding all!

Here is a list of the women who qualified for WTT awards, the qualification rule being that they must ride at least four of the WTT 15km in 2011 and at least one other 10km or 15km WTT event in 2011, and here is that list sorted by category. The top three or four in each of these categories received awards at the WTT Invitational Banquet. For your curiosity, here is the list these WTT riders sorted in order of decreasing consistency of their average speeds - Congratulations to OTT Coordinator Stephanie Rees for topping this list as the "most consistent". You can also fiddle with the "Subgrp Sort" and "PerfRatio to" selection lists and the EF checkbox to do various rankings measuring different sorts of improvements, and so on. Hey, with filtering you can always find a way to put yourself at the top of such a list - Have fun (Always!) but realize that this fun is totally "unofficial", thank goodness!

These results were posted on the OBC site circa 20:30 on 2011-Aug-31 and are available here for your added pleasure and analysis. Some team names didn't make it to the official results - I put in what I remembered - Let me know of any desired changes. Tks!

(Lest complaints about me just lazily sucking in the results surface, I wish to make it perfectly clear that I would gladly do the data entry, getting the results up within a few of hours of the event, as history shows that I did for the WTT series for the decade beginning in 1998, and for the OTT series from 1999-2002 and again in 2006. The OBC Board however, not only won't let me volunteer here, but strangely enough they actually expelled me from the OBC for donating this time trial web site to you !)
