ABC Open TT Series - 2007-Jul-08 - 40km (Calabogie - Hwy 511) (EvtFactor= 0.9364)
Weather (08:30): Steady Rain. Temperature: 20°C, Wind: 0km/h.
WOW - This rainy morning, which was more appropriate for ducks and other swimmers than it was for cyclists was still good enough for a new course and OBC women's 40km record. Sue Schlatter flew through the course in an impressive 58:26 (41.072km/h), the first sub-hour women's time we have ever recorded for 40km, and a 14% improvement in her cube speed ratio over her only other attempt on this course last year. There were some great times from the men too, with three database pb's below the hour. You may see all of the 40km times for Osmond Bakker, David Martin and Mark Roundell by clicking here. Look at the Performance Ratio column to see how each of their performances compares with their database personal bests. Fastest from the Almonte Bicycle Club were Demetri Tsarouchas in 65:24 and Carrie McCallum in 74:54, which is a new ABC women’s Course Record. You may see people's consistency (or lack thereof) this year between their best on this course and on the Tatlock Rd. 15km course by clicking here, and you may see the ABC BAR rankings by clicking here. You may see the consistency rankings between the ATT 40km course and Rockliffe Parkway 15km course by clicking here, and you may see the OBC BAR rankings by clicking here. It is interesting to see that Sue is actually presently in first place overall for the OBC BAR rankings! Congratulations, Sue!
