Yet another WTT night with substantial winds from the south-side met the 15 women who showed up to race tonight. Probably the most difficult of the wind directions, not a one of the 14 riders who had already competed in a 2005 WTT 15km event improved tonight upon her previous 2005 WTT best 15km. But at least more have completed the minimum of five WTT events required to be eligible for the WTT performance prizes. At present, eighteen women have qualified while 3 more (Genviève Marquis, Chloe Saint-Arnaud-Watt and Christa Ramonat) will qualify if they ride at least one more 2005 WTT 15km event, and five (Ellen Pazdzior, Alison Ingham, Rachel Inch, Christine Schulz and Lucie Boudreau) will qualify if they ride both of the remaining pre-Invitational WTT events.
