Moderate temperatures and almost windless conditions.

Moderate temperatures and almost windless conditions drew a field of 15 competitors out for an appointment with timekeeper, Dave McAuslan , filling in for John Warren. This time it was Scott Smithson heading the field with Stephen King, at his heels, just 30 seconds down. Both riders posted a season's best. Not so, Bill Potvin who trailed the leader by over a minute for third spot. It isn't until we reach 7th place do we encounter another seasonal best, in the shape of Bill Treusch. Bill finished just 10 seconds clear of first female, Kathleen Milne. Not far behind Kathleen was second female, Anne-Marie Carter-McAuslan, in ninth spot. Mike McGregor, in 10th place posted a personal best, with a 28 minute ride, along with John Treusch, in 11th spot, at 30 seconds. 13th placed Laurie Weir, scored a seasonal best, just 15 seconds outside of 30 minutes. The 30 minute barrier proved equally elusive for Bob Giles, just two seconds down, in 14th spot. Last but not least, Anna Potvin improved almost 30 seconds on last week but this could have been a seasonal best if it had not been for a shipped chain, which forced her to stop to fix it. With over thirty percent of the field recording improvements including two PBs, this has to be one of the best results so far this season. Note as well the EventFactor measures listed for each date which measures how well people do relative to their 2005 ATT 15km bests. Tonight's event scored the highest thus far this year in this regard for the ATT 15km events - ie., this was a good night!
