This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. ABC Open TT Series - 2005-Jul-10 - 40km (Calabogie - Hwy 511) (EvtFactor= 0.9569)

Weather: Sunny. Warm, Humid. Windy on the way back.

The winds made the return trip more difficult than usual, but still 8 of the 17 who had ridden previously this season in an ABC 40km TT improved upon their times. Erika Revesz led the women with a new VBF databest best. It is interesting to look at the cube speed ratios of riders' bests on the ABC 40km course and the OBC 15km course, since this can give some idea of how much more difficult the longer and hillier (though less bumpy!) Calabogie course is than the Rockliffe Parkway course for different riders. Links to form a graph of these results for the current ABC and OBC BAR series are accessible from the ATT and/or the OTT index pages. Note that the OBC WTT series does NOT count towards the OBC BAR, and 3 of today's female competitors have not yet ridden an OTT 15km in 2005, so you may click here to see such a "consistency graph" for 2005 which looks at the best 15km results in either the WTT, OTT or ATT series and the best 40km TT.
