This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

Heavy localized showers in various parts of the Ottawa region probably scared away some of tonight's potential entrants, however the conditions remained completely dry on the Rockliffe Parkway. The strength of the wind must also have been quite variable in different local regions - in particular the Environment Canada values given above were certainly not what we faced for the time trial! The weather sock was horizontal, and the last 5 kilometers were very tough. This was really not a night for personal bests, yet nine still managed to improve upon their previous DB 15km bests. Natasha Elliott, the fastest woman who was in this class, reported flying out at speeds sometimes up to 52km/hr, and said that she knew that she'd have a good time since she had no problem remaining above 35km/h on the way back. Noting that it takes 8:34 to go 5km at 35km/h, this would mean that if 35km/h was her average speed for that 5km, she would have to have done the first 10km in 1337 (43.53km/h which would correspond to a 20:41 15km TT at constant speed) in order to finish in 22:16.
