Nine riders and three non-riding volunteers came out tonight to enjoy the weather which was decreed and agreed to be "disgusting". Most were back before the light rainfall began, but the SW winds seemed to be quite a bit higher than advertised by Environment Canada! The only riders to improve upon their 2005 WTT 15km bests tonight were Carolyn Junkins and Lisa Hébert who took 12 seconds and 7 seconds, respectively off of their previous 2005 WTT 15km bests, both set on Jun 7. One rider, though, had a personal worst performance tonight. Debbie Hackett had a fall at the turn around after her bicycle chain came off, yet she still managed to finish despite the abrasions, bumps, bruises and sore shoulder collected. She reported that nothing was broken or cracked and that she'll be back next week for more - time trials, that is...
