Rolling blackouts downtown and mechanical problems resulted in absences or late arrivals of our scheduled volunteers, but Barb was back, and so the event got going on time, regardless. A good hot breeze from the southwest pushed the wind sock up to the horizontal for the duration of the event, so tonight's times were slower for all of the repeat offenders apart from Carolyn Junkins (new to the WTT series this year) who has improved in each successive time trial thus far. Curiously enough, the highest EventFactor night so far was the first 15km WTT on 2005-Jun-07. To see the weather conditions and who did their best June 2005 WTT on which night, you may click here. Note that only those who've ridden at least 3 WTT 15km events in 2005 contribute to the EventFactor rating, currently these people. The EventFactors will continue to vary throughout the season as we accumulate more information. At any particular time though, they give a reasonable relative measure of how the different days compare in terms of rider performance. The EventFactor ranges between 0 and 1 inclusive, with 0 indicating that NONE of the riders who have ridden at least 3 times in this series in this season at this distance rode their best on that night, and 1 meaning that ALL of the riders who have ridden at least 3 times in this series in this season at this distance rode their best on that night.

Note that a 51 second correction has been made to Alison's time, moving her up to 5th place from 10th. Apologies to Alison for the calculation error, and congratulations to her for riding only 5 seconds slower than her 26:38 best set in the OTT series on 2005-Jun-02.
