No rain and a reasonably warm temperature of 21°C attracted ten riders out to Clayton Road tonight. Better yet, with virtually no wind, eight of the ten of us improved upon our previous season series best. This was in spite of - high air pressure (102kPa at the Ottawa airport)
- various wild turkeys crossing the road to get to the other side
- an incredibly slow motorist obstructing Michael Coldwell's turn
- malfunctioning gears on Les Humphreys' bike
- lots of creaking from Celia McInnis' weather worn vehicle
- a broken rear derailleur cable on Linda Wallace's bike

Fastest of the night was Neil Farish (ABC) in a time of 23:36, while the fastest woman of the night was Dianne Marleau (ABC) in a time of 24:55. Both Neil and Dianne were among the eight season-series besters. Here is a graph showing how tonight's riders have done thus far throughout the season on Clayton Road.
Next 15k TT; meet at Union Hall, Tues., Sept. 16, at 6:00 pm. for a 6:30 pm start.
