Today had the best weather conditions that any of us had ever experienced the Franktown-Perth-Franktown course, and it didn't hurt that the final third of the course had smooth new pavement (now only the middle third remains to be done)! All of those who dared to do the cold (6°C), drizzly first ABC 40km of the season on 2015-May-31 improved significantly (from 7.85 to 47.67 percent in their cube speed ratios!). In fact seven of us improved upon our previous best on this course, and better yet, seven even improved upon their previous 40km Database best on any course we have results for. Fastest male was Rod Diaz with a new personal best of 55:52. Second overall was ABC member Denis Mahoney with a new couse record for ABC members of 56:40. Fastest female was Calah Wright at 1:00:07, who will return to break the hour. Congratulations to all, and many thanks to the volunteers.
