OBC Open TT Series - 2006-Sep-17 - 40km (Fournier)

Twenty riders arrived in Fournier this morning to try out this new route and it seemed like a fantastically fast course - ON THE WAY OUT! On the return leg however, we were met with significant SW winds and many reported drops of 5-8km/h in average speed. This course is considerably flatter than the Calabogie one, but it is not nearly as sheltered from the wind. Of the 16 participants who had ridden a Calabogie-40 this year (click here to see their 40km results this year), nine improved upon their 2006 Calabogie best. Congratulations to the 6 people who managed to better their databased (since 2000) previous best time. You may see a graph of all of their times since 2000 by clicking here.
