This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

OBC Open TT Series - 2013-Jun-06 - 15km (Rockliffe Pkwy) (EvtFactor= 0.8148)

Ottawa Weather (20:00): Light Rain. Temperature: 11°C, Humidity: 96%, Dew point: 11°C, Wind: ENE 18 gust 33km/h, Pressure: 101.8kPa, Visibility: 6km.

With weather that was cold and wet accompanied by fairly high air pressure and a considerable wind from the ENE, this was not one of the more attractive time trial nights. There were however 5 nicely umbrella-d volunteers, nineteen riders and several overseers, so the race went on! Fastest of the night was Brian Trafford, who also had the distinction of the biggest season-series improvement - a 10.23% cube speed improvement, though still 26 seconds slower than his database best of 19:46 from a nicer 2012-Jul-19. Only two others improved on earlier 2013 OTT results - third place Joel Katz with a 2.92% cube speed improvement, and Jonathan Labelle with a 2 second improvement and a new database best. The only other person to improve upon his previous database best for 15km was Rob Sullivan. His large 15.51% cube-speed improvement is partly due to the fact that his earlier time trials were on the tougher ABC Clayton Road course, and partly due to his newness at doing time trials. There were only 3 women out tonight, and none of us improved, but hey, we were out there! Congratulations to all who came out to ride and many thanks to the intrepid volunteers who ran the event.

These results were posted on the OBC site circa 22:30 on 2013-Jun-06 and are available here for your added pleasure and analysis.
