This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

Beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures drew 89 individual entrants and one tandem pair out to tonight's time trial in hope of good times. Of the 28 people who also rode on the 20°C cooler Good Friday, all but one improved. The average performance ratio was 1.2247 - i.e. the average cube-speed improvement over Good Friday was 22.47%. The improvement would have been far more were it not for the low humidity and very high air pressure of 102.7kPa. Warren MacDonald who was the fastest rider tonight at 19:12, reported averaging 412 watts for the ride, a good effort! Congratulations to the eight people who improved upon their previous 15km database best. Four of these are new to OBC time trials this year with their only previous result being for Good Friday 2013. Welcome! Catherine Dessureault, tonight's fastest woman at 21:34, did her first OBC time trials last August. She's fast and she's young, so we'll look forward to many years of improvement. Lisa Meyers is on her 6th year of riding time trials, and she is very stong, coming from a background of speed skating. The other two PBers are back after being away from local time trials for many years - Joachim Toelke, who did 20:54 tonight last rode on 1997-Aug-14 with a previous personal database best of 21:17 on 1994-Jun-23. Apart from this past Good Friday Time Trial, Eppo Maertans, who did 23:53 tonight, last rode an OBC time trial on 1998-Jun-11. His previous database best for 15km was 14:15 done on 1998-Apr-10. For your curiousity, here are the results of those who rode both tonight and on 1994-Jun-23, and here are the results of those who rode both tonight and on 1998-Apr-10.
