Sixteen women came out to test themselves against the blustery winds from the north and east, and four even managed to improve upon their previous 2014 WTT best 10km time! It was Ingrid Coney's birthday, and it was my intention to sing "Happy Birthday" to her when she caught me on the return leg, but the wind was gusting so strongly from the river that it was all that I could do to wimper my greeting and keep from crashing into her path. This was the last 10km event this season. Next week we start doing 15km Time Trials - 50% more fun for 50% more time! Registration (closing at 18:10) moves to the Aviation Museum parking lot.
