First of all - Many thanks to the stalwart volunteers (especially the regulars - Stephanie Rees, Alex McKnight, Peter Tregunno, Jess Raymond, Michel Bernier, Leona Gray) who survived the season without being blown away or drowned! Better yet, thanks for your good cheer which made the events fun week after week. Tonight was the last OBC time trial of 2014, and it was not an easy one. It was cold (13-14 °C) and very blustery with winds, though at least from the best direction (west and north), gusting to 46km/h at race start and still pushing 40km/h when the last participants finished. Regardless, five riders (Ian Austen, Joachim Toelke, Craig Burge, Chris Reid and Jeffrey Dunbrack) actually managed to achieve a season series personal best and two of those (Joachim Toelcke and Jeffrey Dunbrack) set new database personal bests! Way to go!!! You can see some pretty good improvements in these graphs. Here is a graph showing the progress of all riders who did at least 5 OBC Open Time Trials in 2013, with the riders sorted by the descending average of their average speed, whereas here is one with just the best 5 results shown for each of the people. There are various links at the bottom of the daily result pages that you may be interested in seeing, such as Best 3, BAR, Age Handicapped, etc. - Enjoy, but note that I an not filtering for OBC membership!
