One para tandem team, 3 women and 15 men arrived in South Gower on this nice morning to dothis 40km time trial. The course turned out to be about .4 km longer than advdtised, so you can calculate what you might really have done at http://www.timetrial.ca/cgi-bin/ttcalc.pl - Just type in a distance of 40.4, the time you got and hit the "Calculate" button to find your average speed. Then change the distance to 40.4, remove the time and hit the"Calculate" button to see what you would have gotten to 40km with that average speed. The fastest ride of the day, tat of the Para Tandem team of David Blair (stoker) and Jeffrey Dunbrack (captain) were timed at 56:05 for the 40.4 km, but would have done about 55:32 for 40km, more than half a minute faster. Slower riders would have saved even more time.
