The WSW winds, which were gusting to about 40km/h, made the overpass scary and most of the return trip more laboured than usual. Only five of the 41 who had ridden an earlier OTT in 2015 improved upon their season-series best. Kudos to Joachim Toelke and Caroline Boileau who set new personal bests for 15km by small margins. Joachim did 19:55 (45.188km/h) tonight, three seconds better than his first sub-20 time trial set on 2015-Jul-16, a much easier night. He was the fastest man tonight. Caroline did 22:49 (39.445km/h), a mere 1 second faster than her race on 2015-Jul-09, a night with only a light breeze. Caroline was the second fastest woman. Probably the most noteworthy performance was the quickest woman Sue Schlatter's 21:31, good for ninth overall. This tied the Vet C Female record which was set by Robyn Angeles on 2015-Jun-11. Note that nobody else came close to the database 15km best for their category, and as well, Sue was riding her road bike without aero bars or other helpful aero equipment!
