The air pressure was sub-optimally high at more than 102 kPa, and it may have been a touch windy on the return, but dry conditions and a temperature of 20°C drew out 20 women and two Minime (13-14 years old) boys to this first WTT event of 2015. Kudos go to the youngest rider, Dylan Anton, in his first year as a Minime, for being the only person to improve upon his databased previous best speed, and his cube-speed improvement was a huge 35.65%! Dylan had only done one previous OBC time trial - the WTT Invitational last year, so we will expect many more improvements from him. Six of tonight's riders were doing their first 10km time trial ever and three of the remaining riders posted new database bests for 10km. Congratulations of Alexandra Bouchard, who just turned 16, for her incredible 53.70% improvement over her 10km results last year. Six of us also did Good Friday, and four of us improved. I get the prize for being the most improved in that regard (74.08% cube speed improvement), but must admit that I "cheated" in leaving the collection of Easter bunnies off of my bike and especially off of my helmet! We hope to see all and more out for next Tuesday's event! It's lots of fun for people of all speeds!
