This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

OBC Women's TT Series - 2004-Jul-13 - 15km (Rockliffe Pkwy) (EvtFactor= 0.9231)

Weather (19:00): Cloudy. Temperature: 24&de;C, Humidity: 73%, Dew point: 19&de;C, Wind: S 5km/h, Pressure: 100.9kPa, Visibility: 24km, Humidex: 30.

Despite the fact that the winds were light, most deemed the night to be a slow one. This tends to be the case when the wind is from the South. Still, a third of the pack improved upon their 2004 WTT 15km previous bests. Of these, the most substantial gains were measured for our two youngest participants - Minime (13-14 yrs old) cyclist Stephanie Clarke and Cadet (15-16 years old) cyclist Isabelle Marinacci.

Note that sorting relative to the Year-Series Previous Personal Best might not give a good measure of one rider's improvement or consistency relative to another rider's improvement or consistency, since the previous bests for these people may have occurred under very different weather conditions. For relative comparisons, you can click the "EF" checkbox (Event Factor) which will give performance ratios which we can use to compare improvements relative to the other participants. An explanation of what is done is available by clicking on the "EF" link in the table.

As one final helpful piece of information tonight, if you are curious to see how many had their 2004 WTT 15km bests on each day, you may get this info by clicking here.
