OBC Women's TT Series - 2004-Jul-20 - 15km (Rockliffe Pkwy) (EvtFactor= 0.8602)
Weather (18:00): Mostly Cloudy. Temperature: 26&de;C, Humidity: 56%, Dew point: 17&de;C, Wind: SW 13km/h, Pressure: 101.1kPa, Visibility: 24km, Humidex: 31.
Weather (19:00): Dark skies. Temperature: 25&de;C, Humidity: 61%, Dew point: 17&de;C, Wind: WSW 9km/h NOT HERE!, Pressure: 101.2kPa, Visibility: 24km, Humidex: 30.
NOTE: A failure of the timing apparatus left us without exact times for 5 riders. Luckily the missing results were dispersed amongst the 20 in terms of finish order, which allowed our fine finish line engineers to do a linear interpolation estimate of these times. The 5 riders involved were satisfied with the accuracy. At the start of the event, we all felt that it was going to be a fast night, and our only concern was that the dark skies might let loose. Well, no rain, but except for those lucky enough to finish early, the rest faced considerably more of a wind challenge than advertised by Environment Canada. Most who dared to look at their computers over the last km saw speeds of less than 20km/h! The only people with PB's tonight were our 4 new riders, and they are sure to improve on their next attempt.

Ajersch, Mary ![](https://www.timetrial.ca/photos/photo.gif) (In my 14 years of TTing this was my most difficult and slowest sprint-to-the-finish ever. When the wind hit me head on, it felt as if I were speeding to the finish with my brakes on at 19kph.) |
