Cool, windy weather attracted out the biggest field ever for the WTT opening event. Approximately half of the field consisted of new WTT participants. In addition to the 23 listed in the results below, two non-registered latecomers rode excellent times unofficially. Linda Gilligan's 16:20 would have placed her first overall whereas Genevieve Marquis would have been eighth with her 18:25.
