We were back to the cool temperatures with a bone-chilling wind. Regardless, 13 of the 14 of us who had ridden previously this season improved upon our previous 2005 WTT PB. Only three of those who had ridden in previous seasons, though, improved upon their database PB for 10km. Curiously enough, one of those who improved upon her database best from last year, Geneviève, reported feeling quite unfocussed after a series of system problems which included a slow leak in her front tire (which was very flat by the end of the time trial), a back brake which was rubbing on her wheel, a computer which came dismantled from her handlebars, AND a cold to boot! So, we're now waiting to hear whatever excuses Debbie and Karen have for doing so much better than the rest of us!
