It was nice to see some new riders amongst the familiar faces for this 2009 WTT 10km season opener. The weather was fine - not too cold, and the tailwind on the return leg was good enough to let us forget the challenge on the way out! Tonight's fastest two, Tricia Spooner and Sophie Matte broke the previous all-time 10km best record of 15:05, set by Ellen Pazdzior way back on 1998-May-19. By the way, Ellen still holds five of the top ten 10km times!
