This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

Weather (19:00): Mostly Cloudy. Temperature: 21°C, Humidity: 93%, Dew point: 20°C, Wind: E 22km/h, Pressure: 100.4kPa, Vis: 16km, Humidex: 29.

Despite the reasonably low air pressure, this was not an easy night - It seemed that the wind was gusting from both sides as well as from the front on the way out. Still - no let's say "However" - 28 out of the 61 who had ridden an earlier OTT 15km improved upon their previous season/series best and seven of these even bettered their previous database best. Mark Rab new to OBC time trials this year, had the biggest database improvement with a cube speed ratio of 1.1924. Duncan Beard has become a frequent participant this year, and will likely break through the 20 minute barrier shortly, even if we don't ever get any nice weather on Thursday! Dave Yaeger posted the biggest improvement in his 2011 performances, and he credited Richard Paul's Cervelo for getting himself over the line almost two minutes faster than he had been doing this year. Neil Goedhuis is new this year, and likely to improve with practice, whereas Bob Blais has completed 40 time trials since 2007, with his yearly-best times improving ever year so far. It was nice to see Jeremie Lacasse take another 10 seconds off of his best. Jeremie set the Minime 15km record last year, and now, as iaCadet Male, there are some really fast times to target upon over the next couple of years. The final person to improve upon his database best was Hans-Peter Liechti, who has been time trialling since 2004. Curiously enough, none of the top three men tonight - Warren MacDonald (18:51), Glen Rendall (19:29) and Ron Amos (19:44) - managed to post a season-series best tonight, whereas all of the top three women - Andrea McKay (22:37), Carol Deavy (23:55) and Alison Ingham (24:06) did do their fastest ride thus far in the season.

These results were posted on the OBC site circa 19:00 on 2011-Jun-24 and are available here for your added pleasure and analysis.

(Lest complaints about me just lazily sucking in the results surface, I wish to make it perfectly clear that I would gladly do the data entry, getting the results up within a few of hours of the event, as history shows that I did for the WTT series for the decade beginning in 1998, and for the OTT series from 1999-2002 and again in 2006. The OBC Board however, not only won't let me volunteer here, but strangely enough they actually expelled me from the OBC for donating this time trial web site to you !)
