Under sticky conditions 4 riders showed up for the 16th event of the Almonte 15k series. Ron Ross emerged the winner, some 20 seconds up on Mike Nash. For Mike this was just a warm up for his attempt on the hour record in Mexico City later this month. Lone female, Celia McInnis once again pedaled over 85k (after a tooth extraction) to get there and still finished in under 29 minutes, posting her season's fastest time on this course. She was the only person to improve. Here are the AATT BAR Rankings for those marked as OBC members.
The season had been extended by one week to allow more riders to qualify for the BAR, but this one was the very last.
BAR winners will be honoured at the Almonte TT Series banquet, to be held at Union Hall on Friday, October 26th. Tickets for the banquet will cost in the range of $30, contact leshum@magma.ca to reserve your spot.
