This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

OBC Open TT Series - 2013-Jun-20 - 15km (Rockliffe Pkwy) (EvtFactor= 0.9456)

Ottawa Weather (18:00): Partly Cloudy. Temperature: 24°C, Humidity: 37%, Dew point: 9°C, Wind: W 5km/h, Pressure: 102.2kPa, Vis: 24km, Humidex: 25.
Ottawa Weather (19:00): Mostly Cloudy. Temperature: 23°C, Humidity: 45%, Dew point: 11°C, Wind: WSW 9km/h, Pressure: 102.2kPa, Vis: 24km, Humidex: 25.
Ottawa Weather (20:00): Mostly Cloudy. Temperature: 21°C, Humidity: 51%, Dew point: 11°C, Wind: S 10km/h, Pressure: 102.2kPa, Vis: 24km, Humidex: .

The air pressure was higher than 102kPa which would have resulted in slow times had the other conditions not been first rate - namely warm and fairly windless. There were new database bests set by twenty-one people(!), including first place male, Robert Parniak with 19:24 (46.392km/h) and first place female Kelly Knowles at 21:14 (42.386km/h). As well, there were new year category bests in six categories ranging from the youngest (13-14 years old in 2013) Minime Female and Minime Male riders Julia Gibson and Kyle Caie, to the oldest rider Geoffrey Wright (85 years old), and tonight's oldest woman, Mary Ajersch (who turns 73 this September). It is always interesting to see how the older people rank when handicaps devised from the British VTTA age/gender standards are applied - Rick Sudac tops the list by a long shot! Rick turns 65 next year and he was second overall tonight, without any handicap(!) with 20:11 (44.628km/h). Fantastic! Finally, 46 out of the 58 who had ridden an earlier OTT event in 2013 improved upon their previous 2013 OTT best. Congratulations!

These results were posted on the OBC site circa 23:30 on 2013-Jun-20 and are available here for your added pleasure and analysis.
